Honoring Their Service: RI Masons Hold Veterans at the Table

Rhode Island Masonic military veterans were honored in a special Veterans Table Lodge on Saturday, November 1 in recognition of their service and in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the founding the U.S. Army, the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Marine Corps., and the U.S Coast Guard.  The Table Lodge was held at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center in Cranston, RI.

Veterans and their guests were treated to a multi-course steak dinner hosted by the Masonic Grand Lodge of Rhode Island and Most Worshipful Grand Master Rick Baccus.

Adding to the spirit of fraternity and service, the dinner was served by fellow Masons. Brothers from lodges across the Grand Jurisdiction volunteered for the afternoon, ensuring that the honored veterans and their guests were personally attended to as a sign of profound respect and appreciation.

Grand Master Baccus presented veterans from all services a military service medal with a pin identifying their branch of the military.  Everyone in attendance received commemorative glassware.

On Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11, Rhode Island veterans will gather at 10 am to place a wreath at the Masonic Veterans Memorial at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, RI.
